Enhancement, hand detection, line tracing and the reading all run in your browser, on your device. There is no backend server — a static page has nowhere to send your photo.
Load the scan page once (this downloads the hand-detection code to your phone), then turn on airplane mode and scan. Everything still works — capture, enhance, detect, verify, read. If a photo were being uploaded, airplane mode would break it.
There's no sign-up, no "enter your email for results", no paywall. Nothing to harvest, because there's nowhere to put it.
If you keep scan history, it's stored in your browser's localStorage as small thumbnails (≤ 320px) — never full photos — and only on your device. Clear your browser data and it's gone.
No analytics beacons on the scan flow, no advertising SDKs, no fingerprinting. The page loads its code and the hand-detection model, then works offline.
Everything is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript served as static files. Open your browser's developer tools and confirm: zero network requests carry image data.
