Can the site owner see my trips?

No. Trips live inside share links and your browser's local storage. There is no database to look at — nothing on our servers to see.

What if I lose the link?

Anyone who still has the link has the whole trip — ask a friend to resend it. Trips you created are also backed up in your browser's My trips list. But if every copy of the link is gone, the trip is gone: that is the price of having no server.

Is there a limit on people or expenses?

No. Unlimited people, unlimited expenses, unlimited trips — free forever. A 40-expense trip compresses to roughly 2,000 characters.

Does it work offline?

Yes, after the page loads once. Adding expenses, balances, settle-up, even generating share links — everything runs on your device.

Accounts exist to tie your data to a server. With no server, accounts would be pure friction. A link is the account.

What if two people edit at the same time?

Merge the links. Every expense carries a unique ID and timestamp, so merging unions them and the newest edit wins.

It never leaves your device. UPI IDs are stored only in your browser's local storage and are never encoded into shared links.
