Why I built Aasmaan
I like Flightradar24 and Flighty, but their free tiers tell you very little.
The gap: a flight tracker that gives you more without asking for anything in return — no account, no paywall, no "upgrade to see this." Just live aircraft on a map, honest weather, airport disruptions, and data labeled for what it is.
Aasmaan runs entirely on free public data: ADS-B positions shared by volunteer feeders, NOAA aviation weather, and FAA delay feeds. It costs nothing to run and nothing to use.
Who it helps: anyone who's ever looked up at a plane and wondered where it's going — curious kids, nervous flyers tracking family, aviation geeks, and me.
