About the developer
Aasmaan is built by Anubhav Jindal, a software engineer in California who likes watching airplanes.
It is a personal hobby project — free forever, with no ads, no sign-ups, and no tracking. It runs entirely on free public data: live ADS-B aircraft positions, aviation weather, and FAA delay feeds.
Data sources
- Live aircraft positions: adsb.lol (community ADS-B)
- Flight schedules & live telemetry: AirLabs
- Flight history: AeroDataBox
- Aircraft photos: Planespotters.net
- Weather (METAR/TAF): aviationweather.gov (NOAA)
- Weather forecasts: Open-Meteo
- Airport data: OurAirports
- US TSA wait times: securitywaittimes.com (CC BY 4.0)
- US flight delays & NOTAMs: FAA
